Well I am back from Market and the World Tea Expo. They have completed Third Street in the 300 block, now if I can get my labor organized I will be trying to officially be open more. Wish me luck and I will keep you informed.

Hope everyone had a good holiday. Going to the World Tea Expo at the end of the month of June. Will be learning and sampling new teas.
The streets are under construction but come on by, we have a back entrance. Turn in behind Pony Express on Green St. or beside State Farm Ins on Elm Street.
Trying a new recipe, Tomato Pie. If it turns out good it will be on the menu soon. Can’t wait for fresh tomatoes. I had this in a little cafe south of here a few years ago and loved it. Keep your fingers crossed.
Saturday is the Kentucky Derby. Get out your fancy hat and got to Ellis Park and watch the Derby. This week we are serving Kentucky derby dishes, ie Burgoo, Derby Pie (with bourbon 
) and Mint Julep Pineapple (with Ky. bourbon) and of course Kentucky Hot Brown Tart (without bourbon) 
. Open Friday and serving 11a tillS 2p. Still working on some kinks but hopefully we will get there. Later
As we all know there is a wedding this week-end (a Royal Wedding). In honor of William and Kate I will be serving a Commoner’s Tea all week. Commoner’s Tea will be a pot of tea, scones with clotted cream and lemon curd or jam or both (maybe).
Good day!!!! Met some nice people and everyone seem to enjoy the food. Easter candy went good, Kentucky Proud from the Kentucky Kandy Co. in Maysville. It is a non-profit company a division of Comprehend Inc.
Well I am trying to get a regular schedule going. It will be Wed & Friday, 11a-2p for a lite lunch and the gift shop will be open till 4p or maybe 5p. I will be posting this weeks menu and soon as I get it figure out with Austin (my new cook) she is the “Real McCoy”, really she is a McCoy .
